Eurecat showcases GuestXR innovations in acoustics at ISE 2025

The GuestXR project was featured at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 tech show, taking place in Barcelona (Spain) between February 4th-7th.

During the event, GuestXR project coordinator Eurecat presented a demo showcasing new algorithms that enhance acoustics in virtual reality environments. By leveraging deep learning audio enhancement techniques, the application of novel algorithms in audio scenarios significantly reduce reverberation, background noise, and other disturbances captured by microphones integrated into VR headsets.

Being fostering social inclusion one of the core objectives of GuestXR project, Eurecat has advanced the state of the art in providing a solution for individuals with hearing impairments in VR and AR settings. By enhancing acoustic coherence and integrating voice analysis tools with multisensory devices, communication between hearing and hearing-impaired individuals can be improved.

Attendees who visited Eurecat’s booth also had the opportunity to experience a demo simulating what individuals with hearing-impairments listen in different situations.

ISE, the leading trade show for audiovisual and systems integration professionals, provided an ideal platform for showcasing the latest advancements in VR and AR technologies.
