Virtual Bodyworks hosts an activity to discuss the social implications of VR and AR
Roger Puig, GuestXR partner from Virtual Bodyworks, has delivered the workshop “Contributing to the social success of virtual and augmented reality” on the social implications of VR and AR.
The event, framed within the Science Week of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, was held at the Sant Pau Modernist complex in Barcelona on November 15th, 2023.
During the workshop, the attendees learned more about Virtual and Augmented Reality and participated in a real-time demonstration, checking by themselves the possibilities that these technologies have to offer.
The Science Week consists of different science dissemination activities organised throughout Catalonia, like open days, virtual activities, exhibitions or scientific workshops. Science Week is aimed at all audiences and has as its fundamental objectives to bring science and technology closer to citizens and to encourage scientific vocations among the youngest.
Within GuestXR, Virtual Bodyworks is responsible for the overall architecture of the project’s platform. Moreover, is in charge of possible representations of the Guest and its actions in the virtual environment VR and AR.
