The GuestXR machine learning system is to be validated in four use cases

GuestXR machine learning system will be tested in social situations that may generate conflict. Also during interactions involving participants with communication problems or in contexts that trigger debate, such as climate change.

Validating The Guest potential

Success will be measured in two ways. Through the outcomes of lab-based experimental studies, as well as through the live deployment of the system by trusted organisations that are members of the GuestXR User Group.

Make participants aware

Virtual game to examine the extent to which participants, supervised by The Guest, might experiment attitudes and behavioural change towards climate change after a direct experience with consequences of making cooperative vs. competitive decisions in the tragedy of commons applied to global warming.

Conflict resolution

Validation of The Guest in geopolitical resolution. This use case will aim to bring members of two sides together for acquaintance and building mutual trust, and them, shifting their attitudes from competitive orientations to cooperative orientation for a final conflict mediation.

Social application for hearing impaired participants

This use case aims to promote the social inclusion of the hearing-impaired individuals in VR and AR. Moreover, it also aims at boosting the abilities of individuals with good hearing to communicate efficiently with individuals with hearing loss, by combing voice analysis tools, multisensory devices and displays with multisensory training protocols and interfaces.

Innovative experiments

Use case selected from the public Open Call, considering proposals for the facilitation of new VR experiences, inclusivity, and promoting learning and creativity. The winning use case investigates individual and group responses during contemporary protests. It also analyses the events from different perspectives, touching upon pedagogical and artistic perspectives.
