GuestXR engages with Spanish SMEs in an event exploring VR and AR as facilitating tools

On April 19th, 2025, the GuestXR project hosted an online local event focused on the transformative potential of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) technologies.

The session, organised in collaboration with Acelera Pyme program and led by experts from Eurecat, brought together stakeholders interested in the practical applications of immersive technologies across different sectors.

The event opened with Albert Martínez Castellarnau, Digital Transformation Consultant at Eurecat, who introduced the objectives of the Acelera Pyme program, a Spanish national initiative supporting the digitalisation of SMEs.

This was followed by a keynote from Antoni Torrente, Head of the Multimedia Technologies line at Eurecat, and Jessica Norbert, European Programme Manager and GuestXR coordinator, who presented a series of use cases demonstrating how immersive technologies are reshaping processes. Among them, GuestXR stood out as a relevant initiative of how XR can be used not just to visualise or simulate, but to enhance group decision-making, facilitate participatory experiences, and ultimately improve collaborative outcomes.

As part of the session, attendees were given insights into how GuestXR combines behavioural modeling, multi-user environments, and emotional AI to simulate and guide group interactions in XR spaces.
