GuestXR meets with its User Group to explore new applications of the project’s solutions
Representatives from the GuestXR consortium met with the project’s User Group on June 12th, 2024. The meeting was hosted by Simona Neri, GuestXR Coordinator and Project Manager from Eurecat, and by Mel Slater, GuestXR Technical Coordinator and Investigator and Co-director of the Event Lab of the University of Barcelona.
The purpose of the meeting was to gain feedback by group members on the GuestXR system and to generate valuable insights and suggestions for new use cases, applications and experimental studies where to implement the project’s technology.
For that matter, presentations on the latest advancements and research outputs of the project were delivered. The topics discussed included, among others, how AI, haptics technologies or ethics are implemented in GuestXR for the development of a VR environment fostering pro-social behaviour and inclusion.
The GuestXR User Group, made up of international stakeholders representing companies and institutions of global influence, is an association of potential users of and contributors to the technology.
